About our Community, Southbay Yacht & Racquet Club
The Power & Sail club is part of the Southbay Yacht & Racquet Community. Nestled along the Intracoastal Waterway in Osprey, Florida, Southbay Yacht & Racquet Club holds a unique chapter in Suncoast history. Originally the site of Floridaland—a popular 1960s roadside attraction—the land was thoughtfully redeveloped in the 1970s into a vibrant residential community.
Today, Southbay is home to over 360 custom residences surrounded by scenic nature trails, a bustling community clubhouse, resort-style pool, and active tennis courts. Combining coastal heritage with an unpretentious, active lifestyle, Southbay remains one of Sarasota County’s most desirable waterfront neighborhoods.
